Adam joined Vi-Ability from the Deloitte Sports Business Group where he spent over nine years advising leading sports organisations from around the world on their most important projects. His knowledge from working with various Premier League and Championship football clubs, UEFA, British Tennis and the England and Wales Cricket Board, is complemented by his passion for community sport. As a voluntary Club Development Officer at an amateur cricket club, his work has led to participation numbers trebling in the last four years, the creation of a girls team, the introduction of cricket sessions for 5-7 year olds and significant investment in facilities following successful grant fundraising. Adam uses his extensive knowledge of both professional and community sport to ensure that the Vi-Ability educational programmes not only transform the lives of the young people taking part, but also provide great benefits for the governing bodies, clubs and funders involved.


Kelly Davies | FOUNDER & "More Than a club" Head of community

Now Head of Community for the Ireland Wales Project 'More Than a Club', former Arsenal and Liverpool Ladies footballer Kelly Davies won 36 caps for Wales during an accomplished professional career. Kelly is the youngest woman to obtain an MBA in the Football Industries and came up with the idea of Vi-Ability while writing her dissertation titled “The viability of a commercial department for a football association or club”. She decided to form a social business that could simultaneously tackle the issues of commercially unsustainable football clubs and youth disengagement from education and Vi-Ability was founded. Hosting a string of social enterprise and leadership awards, Kelly is also the creator of gaming app FootballCEO™ and Co-Founder of The Good Wash Company. Most recently, Kelly has been named an honorary Social Enterprise UK fellow.


Wyndham Williams | “More Than a Club “COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (WALES)

A graduate in Health Exercise and Sports Studies, Wyn joins us having worked at Sport Wales for the last twelve years as a Sports Development Officer within Sport Pembrokeshire. He is passionate about engaging people in exciting and innovative physical activities and boasts a wealth of experience in providing opportunities for people to fulfil their full potential in education, leadership skills and give them platforms to continue their development within the community club sector. His knowledge of the local area and ability to build strong relationships will be a key factor in the success of the project. Wyndham brings a vast level of experience and huge passion to the 'More Than a Club' project and will be a valuable asset to Haverfordwest County AFC.



Mandy co-ordinates the strategic delivery of the community innovative health focused programmes associated with the Ireland Wales funded project 'More Than a Club.' A key focus of the role will be to develop stakeholders and influence the sustainability of newly formed sport and health enterprises aligned with local priorities of both primary and secondary care. Mandy has a range of leadership and management experience within Heath, Sport and Business fields. Recent roles include UK Business and Marketing Manager at Pfizer Inflammation delivering an award winning innovative commercial strategy and vice chair of Wales NHS Innovation and life sciences group - driving innovation and collaboration across Wales demonstrating joint working between the pharmaceutical industry and NHS. Mandy is an ex-International Welsh Hockey and Touch Rugby Player and has both coaching and management experience at international level.



A part-time qualified FA Referee and a graduate of Southampton University, Karl joined us having previously worked for another sports education organisation. Karl brings his love for football and expertise in working with young people together to oversee the management of Vi-Ability London operations. Karl has a huge network and works very closely with a number of professional sports clubs and like-minded providers to support Vi-Ability students into employment and further opportunities. Karl is extremely passionate about using the power of sport to reduce reoffending and works very closely with Feltham YOI and a number of professional clubs to provide support both inside the prison and upon release. Karl has experience in both delivering and managing Vi-Ability programmes as part of various Adult Learning frameworks.


DAVID WANSBROUGH | "More than a club" ENTERPRISE WORKER (Conwy borough fc)

David is a highly conscientious and trusted team member who epitomises Vi-Ability’s values and always goes the extra mile to support staff.  He currently assists the delivery of the community-focused programmes associated with the Ireland Wales funded project, “More than a Club”. A key focus of the role will be to influence the sustainability of the newly formed football enterprise through sustaining the delivery relationships developed. In David’s spare time you would find him at Abergele golf club where he holds a competitive handicap, as well as this he is the assistant coach for Conwy’s disability football team.


COLIN DAVIES |  "More than a club" ENTERPRISE WORKER (Conwy borough fc)

Colin has been at the helm of Vi-Ability since it’s beginning. He previously spent 25 years as managing director of his own packaging firm which saw it become one of the biggest in the country.  Colin’s eye for finance and administration has allowed Vi-Ability to grow to where it is now, as well as his support on projects, from disability football, to Boccia to being a team leader for our young people on their European work placements abroad! Colin’s main focus now is on EU funded  ‘More Than a Club’ project, where he will be a pivotal member of the delivery team, supporting Conwy Borough FC and it’s community to deliver innovative solutions to health and community development.


Independent Director (Strategy: Commerciality & Operations)

Ian was Chairman of Transocean and a Non Executive Director of Rolls Royce, Xstrata, Reuters and other FTSE companies before he retired in 2015. Previously he was CEO of BTR and Deputy CEO of Rio Tinto and for much of his career worked overseas in the oil and mining industries. He was also a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University and worked for the Ford Foundation and Voluntary Service Overseas. He is currently a member of the Ashoka Support Network and works closely with several Ashoka Fellows including Kelly Davies.


Independent Director (PR & Marketing)

Claire is an Associate Director within the Brewery at freuds, a strategic communications consultancy. The Brewery offers public and private sector organisations as well as individuals wide ranging reputation support, grounded in the belief that businesses can do well by doing good. Claire began her career at Tesco where she completed the graduate scheme in Corporate and Legal Affairs. She graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University in 2008 with a BA Hons in Geography.


Independent Director (Finance and Auditing)

Tim Bridge is a Senior Manager in the Sports Business Group at Deloitte, working with a global sports organisations on a range of strategic, financial and regulatory issues.  Tim is a Chartered Accountant and is fluent in French and Spanish having studied those languages at the University of Nottingham. During his time at Deloitte, Tim has spent time on secondment at a leading Premier League club, working alongside the Chief Executive and Finance Director to gain an insight into the day-to-day workings of a professional club.  It was during this time that Tim saw the importance of the community impact a club could make and an interest in the wider community operations of sports organisations saw him assist Vi-Ability in their development over the last three years with a range of strategic initiatives.


Independent Director (Innovation and Technology)

Ed is Chief Disruptor within Deloitte Digital. His role is to work with new technologies to demonstrate where clients and Deloitte can use them effectively.  Ed started out working for his family’s farming and butchery business. While at school and university, he and a group of friends taught themselves how to code. This led to him starting his own web design business after university. After running this for a year he joined the Technology Consulting team at Deloitte working for many large clients in the financial services and retail sectors, most notably on the re-platform of the John Lewis website. A founding member of Deloitte Digital, he works with some of the world’s biggest brands on realizing their Digital ambitions as the User Experience and Design Lead. At Deloitte he has maintained a strong connection with the firm’s Corporate Responsibility programme, particularly the Social Innovation Pioneers. from the very beginning with Vi-Ability to develop their mobile game, Football CEO, as well as providing advice and support to many other social enterprises and charities.
